We are pleased to announce that Portland and our Convention Center have been chosen as the location for the Fourth World Parkinson Congress (WPC), which happens only once every three years and is hosted by the World Parkinson Coalition. This international forum, Sept. 20-23, 2016, provides discussion and education of the latest scientific discoveries, medical practices, and initiatives related to Parkinson’s. Anyone touched by Parkinson’s can attend, including researchers, clinicians and people living with this disease. If you or a family member are dealing with Parkinson’s disease and would like to attend this informative event, please contact www.WorldPDCoalition.org
NWRA has been asked to provide Reiki volunteers for only three days of this world event, Wed., Thurs. and Friday, Sept. 21, 22 and 23 from 11:30am - 6:30pm. All those who would like to participate as Reiki volunteers must be current members, have practitioner’s insurance and wear the official NWRA blue polo shirt. A schedule of 2-hour shifts will be emailed to members in July so volunteers can choose their day & time. Parking passes will be provided and a food court coupon will be available. If you would like to sign up for a specific day now, you may contact NWRA at email@example.com Our volunteers always enjoy these events because it is a great way to connect with other members while giving Reiki in 15-minute sessions to many event participants.

Our mission is to provide Reiki sessions to the local community We serve as a bridge between complementary healing and the medical community, by raising awareness and increasing the understanding of Reiki and how it can be used. We also offer support and networking for Reiki practitioners.
The more we each get involved in the outreach opportunities, the more Reiki touches lives and will grow in our community. We wish to thank all of our members for their selfless dedication in sharing their time and talents with the community. You continue to be a vital part of our organization. Without you, Northwest Reiki Association would not be able to accomplish our mission.
